Multimedia CALL Module

Multimedia CALL refers to Language Learning with the use of self-directed or self-instructed material designed with use of Multimedia Elements. Web Based Multimedia is an alternative word used frequently. Multimedia stands for amalgamation or combination of different types of media on one platform or site. In the early stages of development the term 'Rich-Media' was used for Multimedia which extended  into Interactive Multimedia, and now in a more advanced form called Hypermedia in the era of World Wide Web. There are major five Multimedia Elements….

• Image
• Audio
• Video
• Animation

With the use of the above five Multimedia Elements, teachers can create a Self-learning module for Language Learner in order to make Learning more convenient and self-paced. As Sugata Mitra also rightly remarks in one of his videos…

"Groups of Children have the

Potentiala andcapability to teach

themselves anything in 

today's world."

So, In the age of Information and Technology Web Tools 2.0 can be used to make Interactive Learning possible through Multimedia where they can access multiple media at the same time. So, the Learning Environment is changing from Teacher Centred to Student Centric where Self-learning happens a lot.

 A task was assigned to students to create an Interactive Presentation for Language Learning. As a response to that, Here I am sharing one Interactive Language Learning Multimedia Material module, which is prepared with the help of the following apps…

• Google Drive

• Audio of YouTube Video

One thing which I would like to remark here is that nowadays instead of Computer, Mobile has become handy tools for many sorts of things. And this whole presentation is also prepared on Mobile Phone only with the help of above mentioned apps.
