What is Web 2.0?

Web 2.0 is obviously a more advanced form of web then earlier one. Web 1.0 is a Read only web where we can only get information and read it. So, There are limited sources we have available in Web 1.0 with limited access, which are owned by big companies or powerful people. But Web 2.0 is a Read-Write web where anyone can read information, create their own information and also can share with people on online mode. Web applications that can be included in Web 2.0 are…

  • Google Docs
  • Flickr
  • YouTube
  • Wikis
  • Blog
  • Social Networking (Facebook)
  • Microblogging (Twitter)
  • Podcasting

The major change between web 1.0 and 2.0 about content sharing. Web 2.0 allows every individual to create their own information or material or share it on public platforms without any deep knowledge of Web designing and Publishing Skills. It enables one to collaborate and Communicate their work with others.
